To learn more about its Office 2019, we spoke with Kinguin directly. Many question their legitimacy or morality behind such deals. You may be more hesitant to buy from key reseller website like Kinguin. You’re probably comfortable shopping at a well-known retailer like Newegg or Amazon however, you’ll want to check their return policy on software. However, since you’re not buying from Microsoft, you’ll have to exert some caution. Saving over $100 on Office 2019 sounds like a no-brainer. If you can wait for a physical key, Walmart currently sells the key card for $124, Amazon occasionally has it for $125 and Kinguin has it for a shockingly low $36 (and even lower with a Kinguin discount code).īut before you take out credit card, let's talk about the reasons you might want to avoid these retailers. Newegg sometimes sells the same download key for $123.99, so it's worth checking. Microsoft charges $149.99 to download Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019, but you can save a lot of money if you’re willing to buy it from a different store. Download Office 2019 Key From a Third-Party: ~$45 If Office 2019 is your preferred choice, you can get it for significantly cheaper than the $149.99 Microsoft charges by buying it from a third-party retailer. Luckily, we’ve already detailed how to get Windows 10 for free or cheap. Remember, to use Office 2019, you need to be running Windows 10. But customer service may be lacking (more on that later). If you can settle for the 2016 version of Office, you can, as of this writing, get it from Kinguin for PCDestination for about $50. However, Office 2016 has reached end of life (EoL), meaning Microsoft no longer provides security updates for it. Heck, you may even be okay with an older version of Office, say Office 2016, which you can still find keys for from third-party sellers for cheaper than Office 2019. It's very possible that you don’t care if your Office software is updated regularly. These missing solutions may or may not be relevant to you: Outlook, Publisher (PC only), Access (PC only) and the OneDrive and Skype cloud services.īuying Office from Microsoft will cost you $149.99. Reboot your Mac and hold Command+R while it’s booting. It’s probably not work the risk, but we’ll explain how to do if if you want to take the risk. Because of the way Homebrew installs software, malware running on your Mac could overwrite these tools. You will be replacing the NTFS mount tools in your Mac with the ntfs-3g tools, which will run as the root user. Warning: You probably don’t want to do this! The software’s official instructions warn that this is a security risk. If you want to make your Mac automatically mount NTFS drives you connect in read-write mode, you’ll need to disable System Integrity Protection. RELATED: How to Disable System Integrity Protection on a Mac (and Why You Shouldn’t) If you’re happy manually mounting partitions with the above instructions, you don’t have to continue. You can eject it normally when you want to unplug it. It will also appear on your desktop as a normal mounted drive. You’ll see the file system mounted at /Volumes/NTFS. sudo /usr/local/bin/ntfs-3g /dev/disk2s1 /Volumes/NTFS -olocal -oallow_other To mount the drive, run the following command, replacing /dev/disk2s1 with the device name of your NTFS partition. Run the following command, replacing /dev/disk2s1 with the device name of your NTFS partition. The NTFS partition was probably automatically mounted by your Mac, so you’ll need to unmount it first. In the screenshot below, it’s /dev/disk3s1 . Just look for the partition with the Windows_NTFS file system. You can then identify the device name of the NTFS partition. When you connect an NTFS drive to the computer, run the following command to list any disk partitions: diskutil list You can now manually mount NTFS partitions in read/write mode. From a terminal window, run the following command to create a mount point at /Volumes/NTFS. Once you’ve installed the developer tools and Homebrew, run the following command in a Terminal window to install ntfs-3g: brew install ntfs-3g The script will automatically download and install Homebrew. Press Enter and provide your password when prompted. Homebrew is a “package manager” for Mac OS X. Copy-paste the following command into a Terminal window and press Enter to install it: /usr/bin/ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL )" In addtion, you’ll need to download and install homebrew if you haven’t already installed it on your Mac. If you haven’t installed them yet, you can open a Terminal window from Finder > Applications > Utilities and run the following command to do so: xcode-select -installĬlick “Install” when you’re prompted to install the tools. You’ll also need Apple’s command line developer tools installed to continue. RELATED: How to Install Packages with Homebrew for OS X Use the default options when installing it. This is more secure, but it’s more work.įirst, download FUSE for macOS and install it. However, you can use FUSE to mount NTFS partitions in read-write mode manually if you don’t mind using the Terminal. To make your Mac automatically mount NTFS partitions in read-write mode, you’ll have to temporarily disable System Integrity Protection and replace one of Apple’s built-in tools with a binary that is more vulnerable to attack. So this method is a security risk. This way, also users on Windows benefit. This method is free, but it requires a good bit of work, and is less secure. My idea would be to refactor the fuse code and implement a simple webserver view as well as a WebDAV server (see #485) as an alternative to fuse. That makes the build process (for us as well as for our users) **much** simpler and we haven't had any issues. * Until now restic consists only of Go code, we don't need `cgo` for building. * It feels to me that macOS will lose the ability to load custom kernel modules (osxfuse is a kernel module) sooner than later * At some point I'd like to update the `fuse` again, then restic on macOS will not be able to use the `mount` command any more In #3094, I've disabled the fuse tests on macOS because they fail randomly. For now, we've pinned the last working version so `restic mount` still works. The library we're using for fuse () () a while back because the source code for osxfuse is ().
What bread is for weight loss?Īs it really depends on a person’s preferences, dietary needs, and goals. Ultimately, the choice between a wrap and a sandwich comes down to individual preference. That being said, sandwiches can provide the satisfaction of having a soft, fluffy piece of bread, which can be enjoyable. Wraps can also be great for portion control, depending on the size of the wrap versus the size of the sandwich bread. They can hold a variety of ingredients and make excellent low-carb options, as you don’t need to rely on white bread or starchy wraps. Wraps are an excellent way to get your favorite sandwich ingredients without relying on bread as your main vehicle. Sandwiches are traditionally quick and easy to put together, whereas wraps offer more versatility and customization. It really depends on your preference and what you’re looking for in a meal. Eating whole grain wraps and breads will always be a healthier option than opting for refined or processed carbohydrates such as white bread. When it comes to choosing between a wrap or bread, it is best to compare the nutrition labels and choose the product with the most beneficial ingredients. However, most wraps contain similar amounts of sodium and protein as regular bread. Wraps are typically lower in sugar than traditional breads and tend to be higher in fiber – helping to keep you fuller for longer. In general, wraps tend to be lower in calories, fat and carbohydrates than most types of bread, as a thin wrap made with whole grains typically contains about 70-100 calories, compared to 130-170 calories in a single slice of whole-grain bread. Whether wraps are better for you than bread really depends on a variety of factors including your individual nutritional needs, the ingredients being used and the type of wrap or bread chosen. This train set is the only catalog appearance that year for an all-new Electro-Motive Division (EMD) GP30 diesel locomotive model. If you page through the catalog, you’ll quickly realize this BN GP30 is not a production Lionel example instead, a custom-painted brass import pinch-hits in its place. It’s this same brass model that co-stars with Johnny Cash in a 1976 television commercial. The commercial largely promotes Lionel’s O gauge line but does show the brass BN GP30 with Cash stating, “Lionel also makes HO gauge trains for older kids like this Burlington 181.”Īt the time of this GP30’s introduction, Lionel’s HO line was coming from a number of subcontractors in addition to Lionel’s own manufacturing facilities. The HO diesel roster included an Alco FA-1 (employing a variant of the 1950s John English/Hobbyline shell), an EMD GP9 that was a near clone of Athearn’s tooling introduced in 1957 (and different from the GP9 tooling of its own manufacture sold by Lionel during the early to mid-1960s), and an all-new General Electric U18B (with shell molded in Canada and assembly by Lionel’s Mt. The only steam locomotive in Lionel’s HO collection was the impressive looking Southern Pacific GS-4 Northern 4-8-4. This steam locomotive was Lionel’s first motive power collaboration with Kader in Hong Kong. Lionel contracted select HO production with Kader, the parent company of Bachmann Trains, and in addition to its GS-4 Northern came an EMD GP30 diesel locomotive model. Kader would also produce several rolling stock releases for Lionel’s HO line during the 1970s. Why is that? This operation should never fail. Notice that we use a guard statement and throw a fatal error if the storyboard isn't able to instantiate the MyViewController instance. It is the storyboard ID or storyboard identifier. The string we pass to the instantiateViewController(identifier:) method is the string we defined in the storyboard a moment ago. We load the main storyboard and ask it to instantiate the view controller with identifier MyViewController. Let's instantiate a MyViewController instance and programmatically present it to the user. When the user taps the Code button, the showMyViewController(_:) method is executed. In the Identity section, set Storyboard ID to MyViewController. Select the My View Controller Scene and open the Identity Inspector on the right. The second option to resolve the warning is by defining the storyboard ID or storyboard identifier of the view controller. Choose Action Segue > Show from the menu that pops up.ĭefining a Storyboard ID/Storyboard Identifier Select the Segue button, press Control, and drag from the button to the My View Controller Scene. The View Controller Scene contains two buttons, Segue and Code. By creating a segue, the view controller is no longer unreachable. A segue defines the visual transition between two view controllers. One option to resolve the warning is by connecting the My View Controller Scene with the View Controller Scene via a segue. We don't want to change the initial view controller of the storyboard, but we have two other options to resolve the warning Xcode outputs. Unchecking the checkbox, removes the arrow. In the View Controller section, the Is Initial View Controller is selected. With the view controller selected, open the Attributes Inspector on the right. The arrow indicates that view controller is the initial view controller of the storyboard. Notice that an arrow is pointing to the view controller in the storyboard. Open Main.storyboard and select the View Controller Scene. Setting the Initial View Controller of the Storyboard Let's take a look at each of these issues in detail. We cannot instantiate it programmatically because the my view controller doesn't have a storyboard ID or storyboard identifier. The My View Controller Scene has no entry points because (1) the my view controller is not the initial view controller of the storyboard and (2) it isn't reachable via a segue. If none of these requirements are met, the view controller is unreachable. is the initial view controller of the storyboard. What you need to understand before we continue is that a storyboard can only instantiate a view controller if the view controller: That should teach you how to use storyboards without becoming frustrated. The goal of this episode of Swift Help is to dissect this warning and understand what it means. The warning reads My View Controller is unreachable because it has no entry points, and no identifier for runtime access view. If we build the project, Xcode warns us that one of the view controllers in Main.storyboard is unreachable. Main.storyboard contains two scenes, View Controller Scene and My View Controller Scene. The project defines two UIViewController subclasses, ViewController and MyViewController. We are only interested in Main.storyboard. The project has two storyboards, Main.storyboard and LaunchScreen.storyboard. You can download the project if you want to follow along with me. I have created a starter project to get us started. In this episode of Swift Help, I show you how to avoid unreachable view controllers when working with storyboards. Storyboards are great for building user interfaces, but it can sometimes be frustrating to debug the cryptic warnings and errors Xcode throws at you. THIS SEEMS TO ONLY BE AN ALTERNATIVE WAY OF MOVING PHOTOS to a photo collection that is having issues. Still received the Error MSG when I tried the normal way of moving. after moving photos to the folder I was having issues with successfully, IT DID NOT MAKE IT START WORKING OK ON THIS FOLDER. Enter your username and password into their respective boxes, and log in. Once Twitter is up, click on the Sign In button at the top of the screen. NOTE: This method DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE - i.e. Workaround Solution: It is possible to work around this limitation by moving notes from iCloud to an iOS device by storing them locally in the On My iPhone account inside the Notes app. Open your favorite Internet browser, type in into the search box, and then hit Enter to access Twitter. This method finally allowed me to add the photos as "if" no issue had occurred. Application designed for your everyday use, and perfectly suited to your needs. This option ONLY appears if you have images selected before Right Clicking on the destination folder. Download Janetter for Twitter and enjoy it on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The solution I found that finally worked was to hight the selection of images in the source folder - go to the gallery I wanted to move then to, and then RIGHT CLICK on the folder and then selected "Add Selected Photos". Tried optimizing the catalog, backup the catalogue when shutting down LRC (10.0.0) and wen I opened up still had the issue - ONLY with one Gallery collection. Click Apply changes to save photos on the device. Your albums will populate the Photo Library. Select all the PC albums exported with CopyTrans Photo in Part 1, then drag and drop them to the left-side pane of the interface under the Photo Library section. All worked fine until I tried to move a group of images to a gallery (collection) that I had already moved images to a bit easier. Start CopyTrans Photo and connect your new iPhone (iPad or iPod touch) to the PC. Was making edits to collections (source) and then copying to different galleries in the Smugmug collections. Ran across the problem today for the first time. |
